Why hire a professional photographer?
I get it: photography services can be expensive, especially for weddings. But there are reasons for that - photography equipment is PRICEY, y'all! Additionally, photography services take a lot of time...planning the details of sessions, actually taking the photos, sifting through the the thousands of images taken at a single wedding/session + editing them with pain-staking detail is truly a labor of love. And I do love it.

When it comes to weddings, I've had couples tell me "I think I'll just have my cousin/aunt/uncle take the photos on their phone/camera to save some money". My response to that is always positive and kind, yet I feel disappointed for them because...
(1) The family member taking the photos will miss out on living in the moment while they're taking photos. They won't be able to be present with you.
(2) Professional photographers are well-versed in the art of telling stories through their photography rather than simply freezing an action in time. They can make you feel the emotions you felt that day through their photos because of the shooting techniques they utilize + how they edit. It would be very difficult for a family member with no training/experience in photography to capture those same feelings.
(3) If you're hoping to frame prints of your photos for your home or for gifts, the quality of phone/non-professional-grade camera photos will not be nearly as appealing as professional prints. The last thing I want for you is to be underwhelmed by your wedding/engagement/family photos, as they're usually once-in-a-lifetime events. So, trust me when I say that professional photography is WORTH IT!

I have 4 years of experience in producing high-quality images that will bring you right back to the moment they were taken. Need further convincing? Check out my reviews on my Google profile.

Do you only do wedding and couples photography?
No. Although weddings and couples are my focus/specialty, I also cater to families, seniors, and many more.

How much do you charge?
It depends on the type of session! I've created a very detailed Pricing Guide to transparently walk you through my rates for the most popular types of sessions. Don't see the session type you're looking for? Reach out to me via my contact form!

Where are you located?
I'm based in Seacoast NH, but willing + ready to travel to your dream location!

Is travel included in your rates?
Weddings - Up to 1.5 hours of travel included*
Full-Hour and Half-Hour Sessions - Up to 30 min. of travel included* (will not travel longer than 30 min. for half-hour sessions)
*$50/hour of travel after that

Do you offer payment plans for your wedding packages?
YES - very flexible ones! I know how much wedding costs can add up + I'm totally fine with smaller monthly payments instead of a lump sum.

Are deposits refundable?
For half/full-hour sessions, I require a 50% deposit upon booking. For weddings, I require at least a 25% deposit upon booking. Deposits (or any money already paid) are never refundable, but they are "reusable". This means that if you have some sort of emergency or need to cancel your session/wedding date for whatever reason, you won't get your deposit back, but you will get to keep it as a credit toward a different session or wedding date. These "credits" do not expire.

Reasons I don't issue refunds for deposits or monies already paid:
(1) Transparently, photography is how I make my living - just like any other professional goes to work to make money to be able to provide for themselves. It's how I buy groceries for my family, how I pay my mortgage, etc. If someone cancels, I can't give their deposit back because I've likely already used it to pay my bills or put food in my fridge. Ya feel me?
(2) If a client has booked with me, that means I've held a specific date for them that nobody else can have. Nine times out of ten, other potential clients reach out requesting to book that same date, but I have to turn them away. So, if a client cancels, and I had to turn someone else away for that date because I was holding it, I miss an opportunity for business.

What is your turnaround time?
Weddings - Next-day sneak peeks | Approximately 10-12 weeks for full gallery
All other sessions - Same-day sneak peeks | Approximately 3 weeks for full gallery

How are the photos delivered?
Once your photos are completed, I upload the digital images into a sleek online gallery and share the link with you. The digital files are included in my rates and you may download/save them all for free. You are welcome to share the link with whomever you'd like. You will have the option to order printed products via the online gallery for additional cost.

Do you provide the RAW/unedited images?
I do not. This is a personal preference of mine that you will find is shared by a lot of freelance photographers. I see unedited images as unfinished work, and I, personally, would never deliver unfinished products to a client.

Do I own the photos once you deliver them to me?
I will always own all of the photos I take/edit (in a legal sense). However, you are given utilization + printing rights to the photos. This means you can save/download them, post them online, and print them. All I ask is that you tag/credit me if you post the photos anywhere online (that goes for anyone you share the photos with as well).

Do you watermark your photos?
No. I understand why other photographers do that, but it's my opinion that it takes away from the emotion of the photos.

My partner and I are super awkward - can you guide us when it comes to posing?
I always laugh when I get this question because EVERYONE feels awkward in front of a camera, myself included. But a huge part of my job is to make you feel comfortable + relaxed. I've had so many people after a session say "wow, that was way more fun than I thought it would be". That's my goal - I will guide you through every step of your session + do my best to make it a great time!
